How to really prevent skin ageing

Having an hydrated , nourished skin is the key to youthful radiant looking. It creates a plump and glow and hinders the creation of fine lines and imperfections. Some not hard to follow rules can work wonders on your complexion not only immediately, but also in long term.

1. This is a no brainer, but if there is one thing that you can do for your skin, it should be protecting it from the sun. Never expose your skin to direct sunlight, especially during the peak hours, without protecting it with a high factor Spf cream.

2. It is important to use in a daily basis a moisturizer. Its consistency should be adapted to your skin type. Choose a watery, light formulation for oily or combination skin and a richer one if you have dry skin. Don’t forget to top it with a moisturizer.

3. Invest in the nightly use of good quality either retinol or vitamin C product. These are the only two ingredients, which are evidence based on preventing skin ageing. They help build new collagen(or prevent loss of the existing one) and sustain cell turnover.

4. Exfoliate gently, but regularly. Use a glycolic-acid based peeling mask/lotion once e week or two times a month.

5. Eat a healthy diet that contains plenty of fruits and vegetables and also lots of water.
